Picture day is almost here! I am really looking forward to being back at The Village School!
For the families that are new to my school photography experience, let me begin by introducing myself. I live in Hamilton. I have three children, one in 9th grade, and two in college. I still treasure a preschool photo taken outside of one of my kids and now love that I can offer these keepsakes to you!
I have been photographing preschools for many years and they quickly became one of my favorite shoots! All the personalities, inquisitive looks, wonder- I am able to get a variety of expressions with just a couple of minutes with your child! I am hoping I answer most of your questions here, but please feel free to email me should you have any specific questions.

FAQs
What happens on picture day?
I take a different approach to your traditional school photo day- I actually call them Fine Art School Photos. They give you more of a personal feel and aim to capture your child’s personality. We will take them outside, with a natural background. Photos will be taken over a few days, depending on your class schedule. I spend a couple of minutes with each child, using some techniques to get them showcase a little of their personality and a variety of expressions. .
What happens after the shoot?
Approximately two weeks after our photo days, I will deliver your galleries to your school. Each parent will receive a handout with their own password to access their child’s gallery. It will also include instructions for ordering, etc. Within this gallery, there will be a handful of both color and black and white photos. I usually keep the ordering window to about one week- I do this for a couple of reasons, the biggest being that so many want photos as holiday gifts and it gives me adequate time to print and return to the school before the holiday season. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. I have a wide variety of a la carte photos and packages. My hope is you can tailor this experience to what fits best for your family. I have had families purchase one photo, some purchase an enlargement for their wall, some purchase packages and then some that just want a class photo to commemorate the year.
Do you do re-shoots?
In all the years I have been doing this, I have never had to do a re-shoot. Even with my most reluctant preschoolers, we have been able to capture a personality that is print worthy :) That said, if there are unusual circumstances or a child happens to be missing all of our scheduled photo days, we can work these things out. I am also available and open to questions!
